It is such a hopeful thing to see West Michiganders emerging from their dusty dens!

I was one of those die-hards who still walked the dog is sub-zero temps (cuz he goes nuts if he doesn’t get his walks) but I did not pass ANYONE for weeks—everyone was *wisely* tucked deep in their homes.

But this past weekend! ✨

  • Whole families (mom + dad + kiddos + gram + gramp + the doodle)
  • Runners
  • Bikers
  • Ice-chippers

Who could resist the sun and warm breeze?!

*Though, were you a bit startled by the bright light like me?!*

As the outside world remembers what it means to be alive again, the greenhouse is racing ahead to be ready for you and your spring fever!🏃‍♀️

Though, like life in our dens, it was weeks and weeks of dirt first.

Thousands and thousands of pounds of the best soil for what will soon become a RIOT of color.
And after the dirt, as of a Tuesday afternoon in mid-February…

The sun broke through the scene = the first of our babies arrived! 🌱

Honestly, as I held one of those baby plants, the shoulder-hunch-posture I took up a month ago just melted away.

My body seemed to relax knowing that now, everything is going to be okay! ☺️

Counting down ’til spring with you,

Caroline

Growing with you,

Caroline Thomet
