Grow Club’s new winter calendar is full of hands-on activities that will be exciting for all the kids in the family!

This is a fun 5-week season with some special ways to still love on nature while spending more time indoors.

And the best part is that all these activities can be tailored and adapted to the skill level of each kiddo. Your six year old can work independently while your three year old gets more help and hands-on assistance.

The goal here is for the whole family to have a morning of hands-on fun, from the littlest member to the most I-can-do-it-all!

So here is a peek at what is coming up!

Saturday, Nov 14!

Next week we are already kicking things off with homemade ornaments.

These will be special and specific to everybody who makes them because you will have so many of our dried flowers to choose from for your artwork. Endless possibilities!

We will also help you with that new-season-decorating when the kiddos paint you a winter picture to hang up around home.

**This event runs 10am-2pm extra special long because it goes hand in hand with our “Warm Winter Welcome Weekend” throughout the entire store!**

Then, we have to get ready for Thanksgiving!

I found these absolutely hilarious and fun blow up turkeys for the kids to make! I think they will make your holiday be full of giggles to go along with all the full turkey tummies.

And because the real meaning of the holiday is gratitude, I will have a “thankful pie” that your family can fill out to help the kids express their thanks.

Saturday, Nov 28

It’s so fun to watch the birds in the winter, so we are going to make homemade feeders!

It’s an easy and simple way to bring nature close to our windows while we are indoors. Plus, it helps the birds stay well-fed.

And since we love crafts so much, we are going to make some homemade woodland critters. Watch how you can turn a pinecone into a cute owl or hedgehog!

Saturday, Dec 5

What is a Michigan winter without that fluffy white stuff? Remember as a kid just how exciting it was to see the whole world blanketed in it?!

So this week is all about snow. Whether we have it yet or not, we are going to celebrate its beauty and wonder.

We will make snow globes and some beaded snowflakes, perfect for some extra winter décor. And maybe to call down a flurry or two!

Saturday, Dec 12

Our season will finish off with a special week to prepare for Christmas.

Using nature-inspired materials, each kiddo will make a special nativity cradle for baby Jesus that is their very own and just their size.

And I think it rounds out our year so well that we can celebrate the birth of Our Savior in this small way together.

There will be Christmas cards to make also to bring smiles and send warm wishes to our special people near and far.

So put some notes on your calendar!

Saturday mornings are for Grow Club!

We’ll gather at our ‘clubhouse’ inside the greenhouse from 10am-12pm and you can drop in and stay as long as you like.

Family tickets for each event are only $10 and you can reserve your spots HERE!

Let’s put our arms up for winter and dive right in!

I’ll see you in just a few short weeks,

Caroline Thomet
