This was a fast week because of the extra-long weekend! And wow did the weather take a turn for the glorious!!!
I know that these upcoming fall weekends are precious golden time! Just this past Saturday morning at Grow Club our clubhouse was filled to bursting with so much of our Grow Club fam!
There was a new family there. They had heard about us online and came to check it all out. The two girls were some of the first that morning to sit down for the craft and as they sized up the project ahead, I could see some curiosity sparking in them.
Remember, the idea was to use garden material (fruits, leaves, and flowers) to make fabric prints. Well, these two young artists took the idea and ran.
They saw opportunities that I didn’t even imagine when I planned this craft. They captured the beauty of the garden on their prints that I didn’t even know was possible.
They tested, tweaked, tried, and experimented with such confidence and creativity that it was truly incredible to watch them work.
Two hours later, they were some of the last kiddos to say goodbye. The twinkle in their eyes told me that they had met with inspiration, and the joy in their voices told me they had been fueled in a way only a creative outlet can do.
The mess was easy to clean up. The garden had given us the inspo. And the kiddos had done the magic. That was a golden morning right there.
Next up on our queue of fall fun at Grow Club is a craft that will capture the season in mosaic form!
Our ingredients this time will be clay, beans, seeds, sticks, and whatever else makes us smile and think of fall! Then it is up to artist to make a signature mosaic! You’ll take it home, let it air dry, and have a permanent seasonal piece for years to come.
