Roses, chocolate, the fabulous dinner!

Can all this Valentine’s Day “special” spill over on the kids, the friends, the neighbors who are beside us, too!?

We all can be a day-maker for someone unexpected this coming Valentine’s weekend🩷

  • Cookies on the doorstep of the elderly neighbors.
  • A card sent to a niece or nephew.
  • Calling that friend just because.
  • A gift card for the bus driver who’s kept the kids safe on harrowing roads.

It doesn’t have to be anything crazy huge, but something unexpected, out of the ordinary.

I’ll never forget that time in my life when things were pretty bleak.

I received a card in the mail. No signature, no return address.

And that message went straight to my tired heart: “all the art of living lies in a fine mingling of letting go and holding on. -Havelock Ellis.”

That card wasn’t about who sent it; it was about letting me know I wasn’t alone.

Maybe the neighbor next door knew a sliver of the hurt inside me and wanted to make sure I knew things would be OK.

Let’s all touch a heart this weekend. 🤲🏼

Happy happy Valentine’s to you and yours!
